Now Trending: Peach Fuzz

As we wind down 2023, we’re looking forward to trends for 2024. One of the trends we’re most excited about? Pantone’s color of the year Peach Fuzz.

While incorporating peach tones into floral designs isn’t necessarily a new concept, we’re excited to see how this trend takes over the floral industry this year. We’re also excited to share our love of the trend with our clients. Let’s talk through the trend, why we love it, and how to incorporate Peach Fuzz into your own arrangements or your event or wedding florals.

The trend

Every year, Pantone Color Institute releases its color of the year. After Vivid Magenta being the color of the year for 2023, it was recently announced that 2024’s color of the year is drumroll please… Peach Fuzz. Pantone says the soft, pinkish-orange color is “velvety,” “gentle,” and “subtly sensual.”

They also stated that the is color is radiant and possesses both a warmth and modern elegance that effortless embraces youthfulness and timelessness.

Why we love it

One of the many reasons we’ve fallen head over heels for the Peach Fuzz trend is its versatility. As a focal color, it can command attention with its understated charm and warmth, but it also seamlessly pairs with a variety of other color palettes. We love using it alongside light blue and lavender-colored blooms to create captivating contrast in arrangements.

We also often use peach-toned flowers to bridge color palettes. This color acts as a unifying force, easily pairing with oranges, reds, and pinks. This trend is adaptable for so many different styles and has timeless appeal, making it one of our favorites at the moment.

How to incorporate it in floral designs

Looking to recreate the Peach Fuzz trend at home or for your next event? Reach for peachy, light pink, or light orange tones. Some of our favorite flowers to incorporate in Peach Fuzz- themed designs are dahlias, roses, ranunculus, stock, carnations, and cosmos. We also love the look of fruit included in tablescapes. For this trend, we suggest sliced or whole oranges, grapefruits, clementines, pomegranates, nectarines, and, of course, peaches. Another easy way to tie the look of a Peach Fuzz floral arrangement together is with a beautiful silk bow around a bouquet.

We’re looking forward to another year of creating beautiful designs for our clients and incorporating this stunning trend. Cheers to 2024 being a year full of warmth and charm just like Peach Fuzz!
